The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kaunas: Tornado KM (#4) and Zalgiris II (#7). Tornado KM (13-5) smashed visiting Zalgiris II (10-10) by 53 points 111-58. The game without a history. Tornado KM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Zalgiris II‘s 38 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game, while Zalgiris II only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Zalgiris II 49-18 including a 37-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tornado KM looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Zalgiris II‘s players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Azuolas Hopenas (179-2007) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Egyptian Rami Malek (197-2008) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Deimantas Jonikas (184-2007) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Zalgiris II. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tornado KM have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with SKM I. Zalgiris II at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Tornado KM is looking forward to face SKM I (#3) in Vilniaus in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zalgiris II will play on the road against Saule (#9) in Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of SKM I. Point guard Jonas Skramtai (192-2007) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Armandas Bukelskis chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Matas Deniusas (200-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VKM maintains first position with 17-3 record. SKM I at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Tornado KM. VKM will play against Marijampoles (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKM I will play against Tornado KM (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 22 were not that significant. Perkunas was smashed by VKKM on the road 114-72. Marijampoles won against KKM I on its own court 91-83. Bottom-ranked Panevezio unfortunately lost to Perkunas in Kaunas 74-84.
The most impressive performance of 22th round was 19 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists by Arnas Liandzbergas of Panevezio.
SKM II – Saule 66-57
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Saule (8-10) and SKM II (4-16), which took place in Vilniaus. 8th ranked Saule lost to eleventh ranked SKM II in a road game 57-66 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-57. SKM II forced 19 Saule turnovers. No shocking result in a game when third ranked VKKM (14-6) crushed 10th ranked Perkunas (5-14) in Vilniaus 114-72 on Tuesday. The game without a history. VKKM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Perkunas‘ 42. They outrebounded Perkunas 46-34 including a 41-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. VKKM looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Perkunas‘ players. Point guard Arnas Vaistaras (197-2007) notched 32 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Simas Sarakauskas (185-2007) supported him with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four VKKM players scored in double figures. VKKM’s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. There was an upset when higher ranked KKM I (12-7) lost on the road to ninth ranked Marijampoles (9-12) 91-83 on Tuesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-18. But KKM I won second period 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded KKM I 51-36 including 20 on the offensive glass. Power forward Gabrielius Bubnys (199-2007) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Justas Grigas (188-2007) supported him with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by guard Matas Liotisas (183-2007) did not help to save the game for KKM I. Neilas Vitkauskas added 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four KKM I players scored in double figures. Marijampoles moved-up to eighth place. Loser KKM I keeps the fifth position with seven games lost.
