The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Navas (23-6) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by L’Hospitalet (16-4) 86-79. L’Hospitalet looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Gerard Sevillano (196-1994, agency: BIG) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Sixth-ranked Avila (11-9) was very close to win a game against first ranked Gijon Circulo (18-2). Gijon Circulo managed to secure only one-point victory 91-90. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Sergio Martinez (208-1992) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Lance-Amir Paul who added 24 points during the contest. Mario Garcia (195-2000) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gijon Circulo have an impressive nine-game winning streak. A very close game took place in Sueca between Sueca and Elche. Fourth ranked Sueca (13-4) got a very close home victory over second-ranked Elche (13-5). Sueca managed to escape with a 3-point win 69-66 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Elche.
