Frontinos Del Tachira (SPB) added to their roster 27-year old American power forward Akia Pruitt (203cm-92kg-1997, college: UNCP). Pruitt is the second import player in the roster as Colombian Cesar Silva signed here earlier.
He just played at H.Galil Elion in Israeli Winner League.
He is quite experienced player. Pruitt’s career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in five different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Pruitt has played previously professionally in Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys), Slovakia (Lucenec), Uruguay (Larre Borges Montevideo and Capitol) and ECBL (Charlotte T.). His team won PeachBelt Tournament in 2017 and 2018.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Honorable Mention back in 2022.
He graduated from University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2020 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
