There was no surprise when 17th ranked Livorno Libertas (9-20) were defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Torino (13-16) 84-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Ife Josh Ajayi (201-1996, college: USA, agency: Players Group) who scored 25 points. Point guard Matteo Schina (181-2001, agency: Players Group) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Torino players scored in double figures. American point guard Quinton Hooker (183-1995, college: N.Dakota) produced 13 points and the former international power forward Tommaso Fantoni (206-1985, agency: Players Group) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Torino moved-up to twelfth place. Livorno Libertas lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixteenth position with 20 games lost. Torino are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Rimini Crabs (#20) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
