Telekom Baskets Bonn (BBL) signed 28-year old Latvian international guard Rihards Lomazs (189cm-78kg-1996). Lomazs started the season at Merkezefendi in Turkish BSL league. In 10 games he had 12.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3spg. The last season he played also at Merkezefendi (BSL) where in 12 games he recorded 14.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.3apg.
He has been also a member of Latvian international program for some years. Lomazs has regularly played for Latvian senior team since 2018 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2016.
He represented Latvia at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Riga (Latvia) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 12.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.0apg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 14.3%.
Lomazs is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Italy (Virtus Bologna), Spain (Zaragoza), Germany (BG Goettingen and EWE Baskets) and Latvia (Talsi, Jelgava, Ventspils, Jurmala and Spars/Ventspils).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Italian SerieA Regular Season in 2024. Lomazs was voted Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League European Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Guard of the Year back in 2019.
