American guard Troy Franklin (183-1989, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 12 points. American point guard Chris Lykes (169-1998, college: Arkansas) produced 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Sigortam.net’s coach Ceyhun Cabadak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. TED Ankara have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Konya BBSK. Sigortam.net at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Ankaragucu.
Leader Cayirova delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Konya BBSK (7-6) 92-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Konya BBSK. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Koray Cekici contributed with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard New Williams (185-1996, college: Fresno St.) answered with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for Konya BBSK. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cayirova maintains first place with 9-3 record. Newly promoted Konya BBSK keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with TED Ankara.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where 10th ranked Fenerbahce (6-7) was outleveled at home by thirteenth ranked Haremspor (6-6) 88-66 on Saturday. Dustin Thomas stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Amari Kelly responded with 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Haremspor have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cagdas BS. Fenerbahce 2 lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Final Spor and Kapakli Spor.

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Balikesir BBS (5-8) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Bodrum (6-6) 99-95 on Sunday. Cagdas BS looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and swingman Burak Erol (197-1988) chipped in 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 12 assists and swingman Omercan Engin (198-1998) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Balikesir BBS’s coach Ahmet Gurgen tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. Cagdas BS moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Haremspor. Loser Balikesir BBS keeps the fifteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Gaziantep and Ormanspor.
