An interesting game for Boras (9-1) which hosted in Boras 3rd ranked Koping Stars (6-4). First ranked Boras had an easy win 108-78. Boras looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jase Townsend (193-2000, college: San Diego) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 assists. Guard Matt Johnson II (188-1999, college: N.Colorado) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Dwight Wilson III (203-1998, college: Ohio) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for Koping Stars. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boras have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Koping Stars at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with BC Lulea. Uppsala have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Boras. Umea at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Uppsala will play against Norrkoping (#5) on the road in the next round. Umea will play against the league’s leader Boras (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Nassjo was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Jamtland (4-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Nassjo (4-6). Nassjo managed to secure a 6-point victory 105-99 on Friday.
