Moncada Energy Agrigento (Serie B Nazionale) landed 27-year old 182cm point guard Gabriele Romeo. He is not a newcomer in Italian League as he played most recently at Benacquista Assicurazioni Latina Basket in Serie A2. However his team was relegated to Serie B Nazionale. In 35 Serie A2 games he averaged 10.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.9apg last season. Serie B Nazionale will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
For two previous seasons (2021-23) he played at another Italian team Sportinvest Trapani Sharks (also in Serie A2).
He was a member of Italian Under 18 National Team back in 2015.
Romeo has played previously for three other teams: Scafati, RO Eurobasket and Agropoli.
His team made it to the Serie A2 Silver Semifinals in 2021.
