Senne Geukens
38-year old shooting guard Senne Geukens (191-SG-1983) had a great game in the last round for Aalst and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 44.
He had the game-high 16 points adding two rebounds for Aalst in his team’s victory, helping them to outclass, the league’s bottom-ranked team Hague (#11, 0-9) with 27-point margin 85-58. Aalst maintains the 7th position in BNXT-League . They are still close to the very top. Aalst would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. Geukens has many years of experience at Aalst, through which he has constantly improved. Senne Geukens averages this season 7.8ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Roby Rogiers (205-C-1997) of Antwerp. He is a center in his 3rd season at Antwerp. In the last game Rogiers recorded impressive 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Antwerp to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Feyenoord (#5, 0-9) 98-65. Antwerp’s 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Rogiers is one of the most experienced players at Antwerp and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard C.J. Jones (196-G-1998, agency: One Motive Sports) of Zeeuw & Zeeuw Feyenoord Basketball (#5). Jones scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Jones’ great performance Feyenoord lost 65-98 to slightly higher-ranked Antwerp (#5, 5-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Feyenoord can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 9 games. Jones has a very solid season. In 28 games in BNXT-League he scored 14.8ppg.
