This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in Tercera FEB and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as eight games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league’s leader Azulejos (2-1) against Esparreguera (2-1) 73-56 was the most important game of the last round. Esparreguera outrebounded Azulejos 56-36 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for naturalized Gambian forward Omaru Toure (199-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Josep Sole (195-1997) contributed with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Esparreguera’s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Zion Williams (193-1998, college: Gardner-Webb) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Azulejos. Azulejos will play next round against Valls trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Esparreguera will try to continue on its current victory against Zuera on the road.
Chantada smashed Solgaleo at home 69-44. It was a great evening for Jesus Cerisuelo (-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Carlos Noguerol helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was forward Alonso Reyes (198-2004) with 12 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Solgaleo will play next round against strong Culleredo trying to get back on the winning streak. Chantada will try to continue on its current victory against Un.Oviedo on the road.
Solares (2-1) recorded a loss in Olaz on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Valle de Egues (2-1) 87-76. It was an exceptional evening for Marcos Portalez who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Giovanny Contreras came up with 28 points and 4 assists for Solares in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valle de Egues will meet Bilbao (#6) on the road in the next round. Solares will play against LBC Cocinas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Santander unfortunately lost to Mondragon in a road game 72-83. Cantbasket managed to beat Burgos at home 76-69. Redline MT defeated Caja Rural on the opponent’s court 79-75. Pas Pielagos was beaten by Bilbao in a home game 66-73. Estudiantes lost to undefeated Culleredo on the road 71-78. Maceira managed to outperform Xiria on its own court 80-71. Betanzos was rolled over Avenida in Salamanca 99-62. Winless Obradoiro S. lost to undefeated Gijon Circulo at home 68-86. Avila lost to undefeated Marin on the opponent’s court 60-80. Winless Carbajosa lost to Un.Oviedo in a home game 76-85. Chlorella managed to outperform La Matanza on the road 73-69. Aridane managed to beat Estudiantes B on its own court 88-76. Tres Cantos defeated Socuellamos in a road game 64-57. Talavera was beaten by Guadalajara at home 73-85. Corralejo lost to undefeated Alcala on the opponent’s court 60-75. Winless Maristas was defeated by Castello B in a road game 78-75. Winless Real Murcia was smashed by Alginet at home 59-97. Carolinas was destroyed by Sueca on the opponent’s court 87-51. Winless Lucentum was outscored by Murcia Juver in a home game 73-93. Benidorm managed to beat Ontinet on the road 80-77. Denia crushed Adesavi on its own court 89-65. Molina beat Jorge Juan in a road game 73-58.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 18 points and 11 rebounds by Pablo Jose Sanchez of Molina.

Solares (2-1) recorded a loss in Olaz on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Valle de Egues (2-1) 87-76. Valle de Egues outrebounded Solares 46-35 including 18 on the offensive glass.
