American Wendell Mitchell (190-G-97) had a great game in the last round for Prishtina and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Prishtina in his team’s victory, helping them to crush, the league’s bottom-ranked team Ibar (#8, 0-3) with 25-point margin 110-85. Thanks to this victory Prishtina moved-up to the 9th position in Balkan League. Prishtina is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team’s last game Mitchell had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Prishtina’s top player in his first season with the team. Texas A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Mitchell is in league’s top in points (8th best: 14.7ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 70.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 26-year old American forward Dustin Thomas (203-F-95) of I.Nahariya. Thomas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led I.Nahariya to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked TFT (#10, 1-2) 102-63. Despite this victory I.Nahariya slide down in the standings to 7th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 1-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Thomas is a newcomer at I.Nahariya and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 12.0rpg and 5.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Prishtina’s star – American Dachon Burke (193-G-97). Burke scored 26 points and passed five assists. He was another key player of Prishtina, helping his team with a 110-85 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Ibar (#8, 0-3). Prishtina needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Burke has a great season in Balkan League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 20.8ppg (best scorer).
