American point guard Diante Watkins (175-PG-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 39 points he had in the Turkish TBL. Watkins graduated from Robert Morris University Illinois in 2013. His excellent performance made his team Cayirova beat the Balikesir Buyuksehir Belediyespor 107 to 92. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and got 11 assists that game. Watkins is the best scorer in the league averaging over 27 points and almost 7 assists per game. All of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. He was also selected to Eurobasket All-Turkish TBL First Team in 2024. He won the Turkish TBL championship title in 2023.
