There were only 2 rounds played so far and it’s still very beginning of the Regular Season in NBBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 2 in NBBL took place in Darmstad where host Sudhessen beat Basketball-Akademie 89-73 on Sunday evening. Sudhessen forced 28 Giessen turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Ben Kessler (196-2006) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Erik Neunhoeffer (200-2006) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Christian Mann (199-2006) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketball-Akademie will play next round against Duesseldorf trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sudhessen will try to continue on its current victory against Hagen Phoenix on the road.
ALBA Berlin defeated Oldenburg at home 74-67. Luxembourg point guard Dorian Grosber (197-2006) orchestrated the victory by scoring 4 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Leo Hylla contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Miran Evin (191-2006) replied with 23 points for Oldenburg. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oldenburg will play next round against Leverkusen trying to get back on the winning streak. ALBA Berlin will try to continue on its current victory against Paderborn on the road.

Winless Jena lost to undefeated Urspring in a home game 54-59. Winless Ludwigsburg lost to undefeated Frankfurt on the road 82-84. Chemnitz beat Nuernberg on its own court 85-76. OrangeAcademy destroyed Kirchheim in Memmingen 116-49. Winless Rhein-Neckar lost to undefeated Heidelberg at home 57-78. Ulm rolled over Jahn Muenchen on the opponent’s court 82-55. Duesseldorf lost to undefeated Bonn/Rh. in a home game 64-80. Winless Hagen Phoenix was beaten by Hagen BBA on the road 66-77.

Sudhessen – Giessen 89-73

The biggest surprise of round 2 in NBBL took place in Darmstad where host Sudhessen beat Basketball-Akademie 89-73 on Sunday evening. Sudhessen forced 28 Giessen turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Ben Kessler (196-2006) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Erik Neunhoeffer (200-2006) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Christian Mann (199-2006) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jasper Hegele (187-2007) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketball-Akademie will play next round against Duesseldorf trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sudhessen will try to continue on its current victory against Hagen Phoenix on the road.
