The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Montenegrin Podgorica at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by Serbian Joker 79-76. Swingman Stefan Simic (198-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Veljko Brkic (206-1995) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Joshua Scott (185-1998, college: Thomas Univ.) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for Podgorica. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anej Orel (203-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Ilirija’s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. A very close game took place in Bitola between North Macedonian Pelister and Bosnian Siroki. Pelister got a very close home victory over Siroki. Pelister managed to escape with a 2-point win 74-72 on Tuesday evening. Nikola Miskovic notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds by Jan Rebec did not help to save the game for Siroki. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

But Sibenka was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Cajetina 73-68 on Wednesday night. Zlatibor made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Sibenka outrebounded Zlatibor 47-32 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Brano Djukanovic (196-1995) notched 18 points to lead the effort and Milos Glisic (205-1998) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Zlatibor’s coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 16 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Renato Serdarusic (196-2001) did not help to save the game for Sibenka. Center Josip Jukic (205-1996) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Four Sibenka players scored in double figures.
