Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) loaned 19-year old 214cm center Efe Demirel for new season. He ended the last season at Efes. But in two BSL games he averaged just 0.5ppg and 1.5rpg. But the most of that year he spent at Anadolu Efes (U19 League) where in 19 games he had 14.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.9apg and 2.8bpg. Demirel helped them to win the league title. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish U19 League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
He represented Turkey at the FIBA U18 European Championship in Nis (Serbia) last year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 15.0ppg, Reb-1(9.3rpg), Blocks-4(2.6bpg), FGP: 52.3%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 68.9%.
Demirel has played previously for Anka Spor.
