After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Superliga and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Superliga top team – Peja (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Vellaznimi (1-3) in Gjakove 75-63. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a quality performance of Rodney Purvis (193-1994, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 4 assists and center Bradley Waldow (208-1991, college: St.Mary’s, CA) who added 9 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Peja have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Vellaznimi keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Rahoveci. Peja are looking forward to face league’s second-placed Trepca in Mitrovice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vellaznimi will play on the road against Ylli (#8) in Therande and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winners were led by American guard Wayne Arnold (193, college: CUI) who scored that evening 28 points and 9 rebounds and Ivan Koljevic supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by American-Ghanian swingman Bashir Ahmed (201-1993, college: St.John’s) did not help to save the game for Ylli. Prizreni moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bashkimi. Defending champion Ylli still closes the standings with four games lost. Prizreni will play against Rahoveci (#7) on the road in the next round. Ylli will play against Vellaznimi and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 4 Rahoveci lost to Bashkimi on the opponent’s court 79-84.

Bashkimi – Rahoveci 84-79

Everything could happen in Prizren at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Bashkimi and 7th ranked Rahoveci had identical 1-2 record. This time Bashkimi used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Rahoveci 84-79. Bashkimi (2-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Prizreni. Rahoveci lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Vellaznimi. Bashkimi will play against higher ranked Prishtina (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rahoveci will play against Prizreni and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
