Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol (BSL) confirmed in their roster 31-year old American power forward Evan Bruinsma (204cm-97kg-1992, college: Detroit, agency: Octagon Europe) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Bruinsma played there last season. In 29 BSL games he had 11.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.4apg.
He won Hungarian League championship title in 2019 and 2021.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Manisa where in 13 BSL games he recorded 8.8ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.0apg in that year.
He is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Rilski), Germany (Bayreuth), Holland (Groningen), Hungary (Szombathely), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva), Luxembourg (Amicale) and Czech Republic (Svitavy).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention back in 2021.
Bruinsma graduated from University of Detroit Mercy in 2014 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He won Hungarian League championship title in 2019 and 2021.
