Galatasaray Ekmas Istanbul (BSL) agreed terms with 31-year old American point guard Will Cummings (188cm-84kg-1992, college: Temple) for new 2024-25 season. Cummings played last season at H.Tel-Aviv in Israeli Winner League. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 13 Winner League games he had 10.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3spg. Cummings also played 6 games in Eurocup where he recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.2apg and 1.8spg. The other team he played that season for was Melbourne Phoenix in Australian NBL. In 12 games he averaged 14.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.7spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Cummings is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. Cummings has played previously professionally in China (Guangsha Lions), France (Metropolitans), Germany (EWE Baskets), Greece (Aris), Italy (Dolomiti Trentino), Russia (Lokomotiv), NBA (Houston Rockets), Turkey (Darussafaka Lassa) and NBA G League (RGV Vipers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won D-League Soutwest Division championship title in 2016. He was voted Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Player of the Year back in 2019.
Cummings graduated from Temple University in 2015 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
