Surne Bilbao Basket (Liga Endesa) signed Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, a 29-year-old American guard from Michigan, for the upcoming season. Abdur-Rahkman, who was the leading scorer at Darussafaka in the Turkish BSL league, averaged 11.1ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.2spg in 28 games last season. He also had impressive stats in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 15.1ppg, 2.9rpg, and 2.7apg in 9 games. Abdur-Rahkman was named League Player of the Week during his time at Darussafaka. In the previous season (2022-23), he played for Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro in the Italian Serie A league.
He is a very experienced player. Abdur-Rahkman has played professionally in Italy, Poland (Legia), NBA G League (Cleveland Charge), and NBA Summer League (Cleveland Cavaliers).
In 2023, his team reached the Italian Cup Final Four. He earned a spot on the Eurobasket.com All-Italian SerieA Honorable Mention team in 2023.
Abdur-Rahkman graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
