Turk Telekom Ankara (BSL) landed 28-year old American 198cm power forward Javon Bess (college: St.Louis) for new season. Bess played most recently at s.Oliver Wuerzburg in German BBL league. In 39 games he averaged 10.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Bess can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com German Bundesliga All-Defensive Team.
He was also selected to Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team back in 2018 and 2019.
The previous (2023) summer he played at Carmen’s Crew in U.S. semi-pro league TBT where in three games he had 4.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg in 2023 year.
He is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Iceland (Tindastoll), The Basketball Tournament (Big X and Mid-American U.) and NBA G League (Erie BH).
His college team won Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2019.
Bess graduated from Saint Louis University in 2019 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He was also voted to Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team back in 2018 and 2019. Bess played also for Michigan State University for 2 years.
