They maintain first position with 22-4 record. Newly promoted Cacak 94 keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. Vojvodina are looking forward to face OKK Beograd (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cacak 94 will play against the league’s second-placed Spartak in Subotica and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Fifth-ranked Sloboda (14-12) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Vrsac (20-6) in Uzice. The visitors from Vrsac managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected easier game. American guard Nelson Phillips (195-1998, college: Troy) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Stefan Simic chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Djimon Henson (193-1998, college: Morehead St.) responded with 24 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vrsac have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 20-6 record having just two points less than leader Vojvodina NS, which they share with Zlatibor. Sloboda lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Radnicki KG and Joker. Vrsac will play against Radnicki KG (#7) in Kragujevac in the next round. Sloboda will play on the road against Metalac VL in Valjevo and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Spartak have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Spartak maintains second position with 21-5 record behind leader Vojvodina NS. Radnicki KG at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Sloboda and Joker. Spartak will meet at home Cacak 94 (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Radnicki KG will play against Vrsac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 26: Metalac VL was smashed by Joker on the road 105-72. OKK Beograd won against Mladost on its own court 96-95. Dynamic VP managed to outperform Novi Pazar in Beograd 95-85. Sloga managed to beat Zdravlje at home 81-78. Zlatibor defeated Tamis PN on the opponent’s court 88-78.
The most impressive performance of 26th round was 31 points by Brano Djukanovic of Zlatibor.

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Joker (14-12) crushed 9th ranked Metalac VL (12-14) in Sombor 105-72 on Saturday. Joker dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Metalac VL‘s 42. They outrebounded Metalac VL 53-30 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Joker looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Metalac VL‘s players. Guard Ognjen Vukas (189-2003) notched 25 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and naturalized Hungarian forward Aleksa Brbaklic (195-1995) supported him with 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Joker S.’s coach Zeljko Lukajic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points by American guard Terry Armstrong (200-2000, college: Arizona) did not help to save the game for Metalac VL. Forward Aleksa Popovic (206-1999, college: McKendree) added 22 points for the guests. Joker moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sloboda and Radnicki KG. Metalac VL at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Joker will meet Dynamic VP (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Even 20 points and 5 assists by American point guard Kenny Dye (183-2000, college: Queens, NC, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Mladost. Forward Marko Milenkovic (200-1999) added 21 points for the guests. Four OKK Beograd and five Mladost players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dynamic VP had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Nikola Kostic (197-1996) notched 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and forward Nenad Nerandzic (203-1996) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Dynamic VP’s coach Nikola Markovic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
