Experienced American Ian Miller (191-G-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 32-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding seven assists for Ormanspor in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Konyaspor (10-16) 85-83. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Ormanspor is placed at 14th position in Turkish TBL. Ormanspor is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-16 record. In the team’s last game Miller had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Ormanspor‘s top player in his first season with the team. Florida State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Miller is in league’s top in points (4th best: 22.7ppg) and averages solid 51.4% FGP and 45.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Nigerian power forward O.D. Anosike (203-F/C-1991) of MKE Ankaragucu. Anosike impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Ankaragucu lost that game 95-101 to slightly higher-ranked Balikesir (10-16). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Ankaragucu dropped in the standings to 15th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 10-16 record. Anosike is a newcomer at Ankaragucu and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Troy Franklin (183-G-1989) of Kapakli Spor (#11). Franklin got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and nine assists. Despite Franklin’s great performance the Kapakli Spor lost 93-98 to Fenerbahce 2 (11-15). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Franklin has a great season in Turkey. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 21.8ppg (6th best) and assists with 8.3apg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
