AEK Athens (GBL) inked 31-year old American 201cm small forward Ricky Ledo (college: Providence, agency: Slash Sports). Ledo played last summer at Anhui Wenyi in Chinese NBL league. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). Ledo helped them to win the NBL title.
The most of last season he spent at Yalovaspor in Turkish TBL where in 18 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.7spg. He contributed to his team making it to the Turkish TBL final. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention. Ledo also played for Al Riyadi in Lebanese LBL. In three games he averaged remarkable 22.3ppg, 6.7rpg and 4.0apg. He also played 1 game in West Asia Super League where he had high stats: 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.
In 2013 he was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks (NBA) in second round (43rd overall). The former Providence College star is in his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Ledo is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Ledo has played previously professionally in Italy (Reggio Emilia), Poland (Anwil), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Cariduros and Gigantes), Spain (Baskonia), Taiwan (Dreamers), NBA (NY Knicks), Turkey (Efes, Yesilgiresun and Fethiye), NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Wisconsin Herd) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Hines and YGC).
Among many awards he was selected to Eurobasket.com Polish League All-Imports Team back in 2020.
