The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Moscow: CSKA-Junior (#1) and Runa-2 (#6). CSKA-Junior (19-3) crushed visiting Runa-2 (14-6) by 21 points 80-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Runa-2. CSKA-Junior made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Runa-2 49-28 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Runa-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Rostislav Gusev (204-2006) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Maxim Pronin (195-2004) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. CSKA-Junior’s coach Alexandr Gusev felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Yan Dodeus (187-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for Runa-2. CSKA-Junior maintains first place with 19-3 record. Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Parma-2 (11-12) and N.Novgorod-2 (5-18), which took place in Nizhny Novgorod. Higher ranked Parma-2 lost to twelfth ranked N.Novgorod-2 in a road game 73-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Parma-2. It was a great evening for forward Timofey Rudovskiy (202-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Vladimir Semenchenko helped adding 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was center Artem Kovalenko (205-2005) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. N.Novgorod-2 moved-up to eleventh place. Parma-2 at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. It was a quality performance for Demid Tyulyubaev who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Yaroslav Pechendgiyan came up with 17 points for Avtodor-2 in the defeat. Avtodor-2’s coach Dejan Parezanin gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Lokomotiv-2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Zenit-2. Avtodor-2 lost eleventh consecutive game. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory.
