La Rochelle’s coach Julien Cortey allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Brandon Averette (179-1997, college: BYU) responded with 32 points and 6 rebounds. La Rochelle have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Stade Rochelais maintains first position with 13-1 record. Angers lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Fos-sur-Mer. Stade Rochelais will play against Rouen (#4) on the road in the next round. Angers will play against Aix-Maurienne (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

EB Orthez will play against Evreux (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: Chalons-Reims was beaten by Aix-Maurienne on the road 74-72. ASA won against St.Chamond on its own court 88-72. Nantes managed to outperform Lille in a road game 70-66. Orleans recorded a loss to Evreux at home 71-80. Denain-Voltaire was defeated by Vichy Clermont on the opponent’s court 79-67. Bottom-ranked Fos-sur-Mer was beaten by Antibes in a home game 82-84.



Aix-Maurienne – Chalons-Reims 74-72
