LEB Silver is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 13 rounds left. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 13 in the LEB Silver took place in Prat. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Benicarlo (10-3) to fifth ranked Prat (8-5) 66-63 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Prat forced 19 Benicarlo turnovers. Guard Raimon Carrasco (188-1999) fired 20 points for the winners. Portuguese forward Ruben Prey (208-2005) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Prat’s coach Albert Canellas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Pedro Garcia (200-1998) produced 10 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Prat moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Important game to mention about took place in Moron de la Frontera. Fourth ranked Moron (8-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Melilla (7-6) 66-64 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Melilla. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Javier Marin (190-1992) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 assists. Nicolas Pavrette contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Moron’s coach Jose Antonio Santaella allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. They moved-up to second place which they share with defeated Salou. Loser Salou dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Sant Antoni will meet at home Gran Canaria 2 (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Salou will play against Palma BM (#13) in Llucmajor and hope to secure a win.

Gran Canaria 2 – Santfeliuenc 85-79

There was a minor upset in Las Palmas where higher ranked Santfeliuenc (5-8) was defeated by eleventh ranked Gran Canaria 2 (5-8) 85-79 on Wednesday. Gran Canaria 2 made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Naturalized Polish forward Jakub Urbaniak (205-2003) stepped up and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Arturo Fernandez (193-1995) chipped in 18 points.
