Basketball Bundesliga: Bayern Munich, Bonn remain atop of the standings

Bayern Munich remain at the top of the standings alongside Telecom Baskets Bonn, after the conclusion of the eighth matchday.

FC Bayern Munich won its sixth game on easyCredit BBL and it is thus in first place in the table. With a 24-4 run in the second half, Munichprevailed over BG Gottingen. Deshaun Thomas led the winning side with 18 points, as well as four rebounds and four assists. Nihad Djedovic followed with 15 points and four rebounds.

Fraport Skyliners claimed its second victory in the road, after beating Würzburg 78-83. Will Cherry and Brancou Badio combined for 38 points to lead the club to its second win of the season.

Chemnitz narrowly prevailed (67-64) against newly promoted Heidelberg in front of 2,850 spectators and climbed to the third place. The Niners celebrated their fifth win of the season behind Niklas Wimberg’s 15 points.
