Golden State Warriors wing Andrew Wiggins has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols. Wiggins last played on Friday night at the Boston Celtics. He, along with several other Warriors regulars, skipped Golden State’s trip to Toronto on Saturday.
Following the game in Boston, Wiggins was asked if he was happy he got vaccinated, considering the prevalence of COVID outbreaks around the NBA this week.
“No. Not really,” Wiggins said. “It was just something I had to do.”
Unless he tests negative twice in a 24-hour period, Wiggins will miss at least 10 days.
