Experienced International Guard Ivan Strebkov (193-G-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for Dinamo Vladivostok and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Superleague 1 Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 33-year old guard had the game-high 27 points adding three rebounds and seven assists for Dinamo V. in his team’s victory, helping them to beat BARS-RGEU (#10, 7-12) 91-82. Dinamo maintains the 4th position in Russian Superleague 1. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Dinamo will need more victories to improve their 14-5 record. In the team’s last game Strebkov had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Dinamo‘s top player in his first season with the team. Strebkov has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in assists (8th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 56.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was another Dinamo V.’s star – young international swingman Anton Ponkrashov (200-F/G-1986). Ponkrashov impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Dinamo Vladivostok cruised to a 91-82 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked BARS-RGEU (#10, 7-12). Dinamo’s 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team’s 14-5 record is not bad at all. Ponkrashov is a newcomer at Dinamo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.9ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Maxim Krivosheev (207-F/C-1988) of BARS-RGEU Rostov (#10). Krivosheev scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Krivosheev’s great performance the BARS-RGEU lost 82-91 to the higher-ranked Dinamo V. (#4, 14-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of BARS-RGEU not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Krivosheev could try to bring BARS-RGEU’s a little bit higher in the standings. Krivosheev has individually a great season in Russia. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (8th best).
