The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Segunda FEB took place in S’Arenal. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Palma Fibwi (4-3) to fifth ranked Lliria (4-1) 74-72 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Palma Fibwi. It was a great evening for point guard Josep Perez (184-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Power forward Alejandro Rivas (203-1998) helped adding 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Lliria’s coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Xabier Beraza (201-1999) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Lliria have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Palma Fibwi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Lliria are looking forward to face Santfeliuenc (#13) in Sant Feliu in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Palma Fibwi will play on the road against Sol Girones (#5) in La Bisbal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked La Leonesa (5-2) against tenth ranked Albacete (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting La Leonesa was defeated by Albacete in Albacete 69-55. It was an exceptional evening for Alex Tamayo (195-2000) who led the winners and scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Robert Harris II accounted for 12 points. Tunisian power forward Mohamed Ochi (210-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for La Leonesa in the defeat. Albacete moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Melilla and Clavijo. Newly promoted La Leonesa keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Cordoba CB. Albacete will play against Melilla (#11) on the road in the next round. La Leonesa will play against the league’s second-placed Cordoba CB (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.

Undefeated Palma BM have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Santfeliuenc lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. Palma BM will meet at home Mataro UE (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Santfeliuenc will play against Lliria (#3) and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: winless Tarragona lost to Mataro UE on the opponent’s court 77-83. Salou managed to outperform Benicarlo in a home game 96-86. Godella recorded a loss to Gran Canaria 2 on the road 79-68. Sant Antoni was defeated by Prat on its own court 77-84. Sol Girones was beaten by Gandia in a road game 79-67. Palma Fibwi won against Gandia at home 72-63. Melilla unfortunately lost to Iraurgi SB on the opponent’s court 82-85. Cordoba CB managed to beat Caja 87 in a home game 77-66. Caceres defeated Zornotza on the road 77-73. Huelva CD was beaten by Huesca on its own court 94-96. Algeciras lost to Clavijo in Logrono 75-76. Archena managed to outperform Ponferrada at home 71-67.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 11 points and 11 rebounds by Jon Aramburu of Palma Fibwi.


Group A

Santfeliuenc – Palma BM 70-96

Segunda FEB top team – Palma BM (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Santfeliuenc (1-5) in Sant Feliu 96-70. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory.
