Saint Chamond Basket Valle du Gier (ProB) added to their roster experienced 36-year old French guard Jessie Begarin (190cm-1988). It is actually his comeback to Saint Chamond as he has played here before. Begarin played most recently at Blacks Faenza in Italian Serie B Nazionale. In 18 games he recorded 10.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg last season. He also played for Boulazac Basket in French ProB where in 6 games he averaged 5.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg.
Begarin was a member of French U19 National Team in 2007.
He has spent his entire career in France playing for eight other teams: Chalons Reims, Hyeres-Toulon, Aix Maurienne, Pole France, Besancon, Quimper UJAP, SPO Rouen and Le Portel. His team was regular season runner-up in French NM1 in 2012 and 2013.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Saint-Chamond.
