Bahcesehir defeated Istanbul in Acibadem 65-59. Cengiz Coskun (195-2007) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Yavuz Kara (204-2007) contributed with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Ege Borcali (-2005) replied with 22 points for Istanbul. Istanbul will play next round against Merkezefendi trying to get back on the winning streak. Bahcesehir will try to continue on its current victory against Istanbul at home.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Besiktas in Istanbul. Hosts were edged by Ozel Gelisim Koleji 64-62. Yigit Bayer (-2006) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Umut Yildiz chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Very important is a road loss of Galatasaray against Darussafaka on Friday night. Visiting Galatasaray was edged by Darussafaka in a tough game in Istanbul 65-67. Ilber Aysel notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Altan Camoglu did not help to save the game for Galatasaray. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Darussafaka will meet Bursaspor on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Galatasaray’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Anadolu Efes.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Izmir lost to undefeated Anadolu Efes on the road 78-86. Gaziantep won against Manisa on its own court 88-70. Winless Buyukcekmece lost to undefeated Tofas in Bursa 60-77. Aliaga Petkim rolled over Karsiyaka at home 77-56. Winless Turk Telekom lost to undefeated Fenerbahce on the opponent’s court 75-99.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals by Omer Ziyaettin of Fenerbahce.
Besiktas – Gelisim Koleji 62-64

Anadolu Efes’ coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
