The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Hapoel Jerusalem 81-74. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play on the road against M.Tel-Aviv in Tel Aviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Bnei Hertzeliya’s 93-87 road victory against H.Galil Elion. American guard Jimmy Clark III (191-2001, college: Duquesne, agency: Diamond Sports) nailed 15 points, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Chris Silva accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Bnei Hertzeliya’s coach Yehu-David Orland allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian guard Marcus Carr (188-1999, college: Texas) came up with 19 points and 8 assists for Galil Elion in the defeat. Bnei Hertzeliya will play against H.Be’er Sheva in Beer Sheva in the next round. H.Galil Elion will play on the road against H.Gilboa Galil in Gan Ner to get more than just one victory in their record.
Quite upsetting was Kiryat Ata‘s 17-point home defeat in a game versus H.Afula who smashed hosts JP Tokoto fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Afula’s coach Ariel Beit-Halamy used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Silvio de Sousa produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. H.Afula will meet E.Netanya on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kiryat Ata will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 1 E.Netanya lost to H.Gilboa Galil on the opponent’s court 67-100.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 15 points and 9 rebounds by Ben Moore of H.Gilboa Galil.
