The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Montenegrin Podgorica at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by Serbian Joker 79-76. Swingman Stefan Simic (198-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Veljko Brkic (206-1995) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Joshua Scott (185-1998, college: Thomas Univ.) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for Podgorica. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pelister – Siroki 74-72

A very close game took place in Bitola between North Macedonian Pelister and Bosnian Siroki. Pelister got a very close home victory over Siroki. Pelister managed to escape with a 2-point win 74-72 on Tuesday evening. Serbian Nikola Miskovic (207-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-1988) supported him with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds by Slovenian guard Jan Rebec (192-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) did not help to save the game for Siroki. Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-1990) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Sibenka – Zlatibor 68-73

But Sibenka was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Cajetina 73-68 on Wednesday night. Zlatibor made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Sibenka outrebounded Zlatibor 47-32 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Another interesting game for Bosnian Borac which played in Ljubljana against Slovenian Ilirija. Borac won 70-62. Borac players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Serbian Vuk Boskovic (200) scored 21 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Tyron Harris (195-1991, college: Columbus St.) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Borac BL players scored in double figures.
