Galatasaray Ekmas Istanbul (BSL) signed 31-year old point guard Can Korkmaz (187cm-1992, agency: Interperformances) for upcoming 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Galatasaray as he has played here before. Korkmaz has played for the last two seasons at Darussafaka in the BSL. In 24 games he had 9.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.5apg last season. He also played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 8.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.3apg.
Korkmaz has played previously for five other teams: Pinar Karsiyaka, Trabzonspor, Turk Telekom, Sakarya Buyuksehir Basketbol and Usak. His team made it to the League Semifinals in 2015 and 2019.
