Bursaspor Info Yatirim (BSL) agreed terms with 31-year old ex-international power forward Berkay Candan (205cm-1993) for new 2024-25 season. Candan has played for the last three years at Bahcesehir in the BSL. In 26 games he had 3.8ppg and 2.1rpg last season. He also played 14 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 4.4ppg and 3.8rpg. Candan helped them to make it to the cup final.
He was a member of Turkish international program for some years. Candan was called to Turkish Senior National Team back in 2014 and previously for U20 National Team in 2013.
He has played previously professionally also in Italy (Pesaro Loreto) and Turkey (Trabzonspor, Fenerbahce, TED Ankara, Bandirma and Usak). Candan was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Honorable Mention back in 2012 and 2013.
Candan’s team won FIBA Europe Cup in 2022.
