Kristaps Porzingis appears poised to make his return to the Boston Celtics. Porzingis posted on his Instagram feed that he’ll be “lined up for the next game”.
That seemingly has Porzingis lined up to play against his former team, the New York Knicks, on Friday. Both the Celtics and Knicks were eliminated from the In-Season Tournament this week and will meet in Boston on Friday night.
The Celtics big man has missed Boston’s last four games with a strained left calf. Porzingis was injured on November 24, when he came up limping in a game at the Orlando Magic. Porzingis left that game early and hasn’t played since.
In 15 games this season, Porzingis has averaged 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He’s also shooting a career-best 54.7% from the field in his first season with the Celtics.
