Mikey Williams plead guilty to a felony charge of making criminal threats on Thursday. Williams can get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor if he completes a gun safety course and finishes 80 hours of community service before his sentencing in August.
Williams was on trial for six felony gun charges and faced up to 28 years in prison from an incident at his home on March 27.
Williams signed with Memphis and has been away from the team since the incident. Head coach Penny Hardaway has not offered any updates to Williams’ current status with the team.
