Lineup notes from the Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings, and Dallas Mavericks.
- 2021 NBA champs Bobby Portis & Pat Connaughton of the Milwaukee Bucks are playing confident basketball this season. Portis is bringing nonstop energy and averaging career highs in PPG (15.3), RPG (8.8), and free throw percentage (81.4%). As for Connaughton, he’s defending hard and shooting the ball 42.0% from three while putting up career numbers in PPG (12.3) and RPG (4.9).
- Sacramento Kings interim head coach Alvin Gentry has given more minutes to Terence Davis & Marvin Bagley after taking over for the recently fired Luke Walton. Both have responded in impressive ways, with Davis averaging 25.5 PPG/4.0 RPG/2.0 SPG/55.0% 3-PT in his last two games and Bagley tallying 10.0 PPG/7.5 RPG/70.0% FG during his last four outings.
- Head coach Jason Kidd continues to make changes to the Dallas Mavericks starting lineup. Kidd has been indecisive on who should start at center and shooting guard. Dwight Powell began the season/still remains as Dallas’ starting center, but had a stretch where he came off the bench for three consecutive games in place of Willie Cauley-Stein (2 starts) & Moses Brown (1 start). At shooting guard, Reggie Bullock has replaced Tim Hardaway Jr. after starting in 19 straight games to begin the year.
