CAMDEN, N.J.–The Philadelphia 76ers got a little bit healthier on Wednesday when they welcomed Danuel House Jr. back to the floor at practice. The veteran wing player missed two games due to a non-COVID illness and he had to miss some time as he worked through it.
Now that he is back at practice before the team’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday on the road, he is looking to get his wind, his rhythm, and his conditioning back out on the floor.
“Putting in extra work,” said House Jr. “I just stayed later to get some extra shots up. It’s one step at a time. It’s a day-by-day process. I just gotta work through it.”
At the moment, the Sixers are still working their way through everything with their new additions as well as working through the injury to James Harden on the floor. With House Jr. set to return, it would give Philadelphia a boost to their bench unit and it would allow them to build more continuity.
“It’s still a work in progress,” House Jr. added. “Still young, still growing, but showing you growth before your eyes. We’re tweaking, we’re talking, we’re communicating, we’re getting better. It takes time.”
The Sixers will now be looking to build off their win on Monday and carry it into Atlanta against a very good Hawks team.
