#1. This week’s number one is an international small forward Mateusz Ponitka (198-93, currently plays in VTB United League). He led his Russian team Zenit to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Lokomotiv (2-2) crushing them 106-79 in the VTB United League in Sunday night’s game.
Ponitka recorded 12 points and added 7 passes in 27 minutes on the court.

He was MVP of the game. Logan recorded 22 points and had 3 steals.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Banco di Sardegna Sassari (4-0) is placed first in the Serie A.
So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season.

It’s Logan’s first year with the team.

#3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92, currently plays in Italy) faced previously mentioned David Logan in the Italian Serie A last game.
Sokolowski. He could not help Treviso in their last game. Despite Sokolowski’s good performance his team lost 64-71 at home to the leading Sassari.
He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Sokolowski also added 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 29 minutes.
It’s Sokolowski’s first season with the team.

#4. Shooting guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: WKU, currently plays in EuroCup) was not able to help Gran Canaria in their game against KK Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (1-0) in the Eurocup.
He recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. It was his first game for Gran Canaria this season.
But Gran Canaria was edged 79-77 on their home court in Las Palmas by the higher-ranked KK Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (#4).

He is also Polish national team player.
Strangely Slaughter has never played in Poland.
#5. International guard Marcel Ponitka (194-97, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) was not able to secure a victory for one of league’s weakest teams Parma (1-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance Parma lost 69-83 on the road to the second-ranked Benfica.
Ponitka scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 24 minutes.

Despite his good performance last Friday Olejniczak recorded 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Olejniczak’s overall stats this season are: 5.4ppg and 6.2rpg.
He is also Polish national team player.
#8. Center Adam Lapeta (217-87, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn’t help Dzukija (3-3) in their game against Juventus (4-1) in the Lithuanian LKL, despite his good performance on Saturday night.

#11. International center Aleksander Balcerowski (218-0, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in ABA League) couldn’t help Mega BG in their game against Borac CA in the ABA League, despite his good performance in Sunday night’s game.
He recorded 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 21 minutes.
But his team lost 68-80.
Balcerowski’s stats this year are: 11.3ppg and 4.8rpg in four games.

Flaisher scored 16 points and added 5 passes. It was his first game for E.Netanya this season.

Flaisher has both Polish and Israeli nationalities.
Despite his Polish passport, Flaisher previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Polish team.
#4. Experienced Oskars Hlebovickis (196-SF-0, currently plays in European North Basketball League) was not able to help one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams Liepaja in their game against Tartu (1-1) in the European North Basketball League.
Hlebovickis recorded 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Liepaja was defeated 61-53 at home by the second-ranked Tartu.
The Regular Season already ended in the European North Basketball League.
