There is an “excellent chance” that the New York Knicks will be investigated for tampering in the Jalen Brunson signing, with or without an official charge from the other 29 teams, sources told Fred Katz of The Athletic.
Brunson and the Knicks were reported to have agreed to a deal before they could legally negotiate a contract.
Brunson, who described the Knicks as “one big family for me,” eventually signed a four-year, $104 million deal.
Most recently, the Bulls lost a second round pick after violating tampering rules in acquiring Lonzo Ball via a sign-and-trade.
