Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) landed 27-year old Turk-Kosovan international 197cm guard Kenan Sipahi, agency: BeoBasket for new season. It is actually his comeback to Pinar Karsiyaka as he has played here before. Sipahi played most recently at Besiktas in Turkish BSL league. He managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 17 BSL games he averaged 11.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 7.5apg (top 2) and 1.2spg. Sipahi helped them to make it to the Turkish U19 League final after they ended regular season as second best team. He also played 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 13.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.3apg. The other team he played that season for was Casademont Zaragoza in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 12 games he recorded just 2.8ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.6apg. Sipahi also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got 4.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.5apg.
He has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Sipahi has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2020 and previously for U20 National Team in 2014.
He represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) five years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 4.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg.
Sipahi has played previously professionally in Turkey (Tofas and Fenerbahce) and Spain (Real Betis).
