Drexel University signed 20-year old Dutch guard Jamie Bergens (6’2”-180lbs) for upcoming 2022-2023 season. Almere (Holland) native played for the last two years at Oral Roberts University. In 14 games he had just 2.4ppg and 1.1apg last season. Golden Eagles made it to the Summit League Tournament Semifinals this year. His team won Summit League Tournament and Golden Eagles made it to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2021.
Bergens’ high school career he had spent at West Nottingham Academy in Colora, MD, which he graduated in 2019.
Bergens represented Holland at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Greece three years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 9.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.4apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 35.0%, 3PT: 36.7%, FT: 53.8%. His team won European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U16 Division B in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 2020. His team also won European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Greece in 2020.
