DeAndre Jordan quickly found a place to continue his NBA career after getting waived by the Lakers. The 33-year-old center joined the 76ers where he re-united his former coach Doc Rivers.
According to Jordan, Rivers is the best coach he has ever had. The two worked together on the Clippers for almost a decade and know each other very well.
“He’s the best coach I’ve ever had, he’s more than a coach to me … when a new player comes to a team, it’s always everybody trying to get them to feel acclimated, but with Doc, he’s gonna curse me out like I’ve been here all season,” Jordan said, per Gina Mizell.
Jordan made his debut with the Sixers against the Bulls. He came off the bench to play 10 minutes during which he scored 2 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.
