Talented Mantas Mockevicius (197-F-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for VKKM and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 17-year old forward had a double-double of 16 points and twelve rebounds, while his team outclassed Zalgiris I (#12, 2-11) with 40-point margin 103-63. VKKM maintains the 3rd position in Lithuanian U18 League. VKKM has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team’s last game Mockevicius had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at VKKM, through which he has constantly improved. Mockevicius has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 12.0rpg. Mockevicius is in league’s top in and averages solid 2.4spg and 69.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was another VKKM’s star – young center Zygimantas Bartasius (208-C-2004). Bartasius impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Mockevicius he helped VKKM with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Zalgiris I (#12, 2-11) 103-63. VKKM’s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Bartasius is one of the most experienced players at VKKM and similarly like Mantas Mockevicius has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Nikas Stuknys (2005) of Panevezio (#6). Stuknys showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, five rebounds and nine assists in the last round. He was a key player of Panevezio, leading his team to a 80-67 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Tornado KM (#7, 7-9). The chances of Panevezio ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stuknys could help Panevezio to bring them higher in the standings. Stuknys has a great season in Lithuania. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 18.5ppg (9th best) and assists with 6.6apg (4th best). He also has 2.9spg and FGP: 62.8%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
