A couple of days after winning its first game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, Zalgiris Kaunas announced the addition of big man Regimantas Miniotas until the end of the season. Miniotas (2,08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Bilbao Basket of the Spanish League, where he averaged 4.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 10 games this season in that competition. Miniotas grew up in the Rytas youth system and then went on to pursue a pro career in other Lithuanian clubs, first in the second team of Zalgiris and soon in Vytautas Prienai or Nevezis Kedainiai before landing in Bilbao in 2020. He took part in two editions of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament from 2012 to 2014 with Rytas, for a total 10 games and averages of 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Miniotas is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
Some reinforcements up front. Welcome aboard to Zalgiris, Regimantas Miniotas!
