During conversations with James Dolan this month, William Wesley has been blaming the New York Knicks disappointing season, at least in part, to the coaching of Tom Thibodeau, sources tell Ian Begley of SNY.tv.
Leon Rose and Wesley hired Thibodeau in 2020. Part of the allure of hiring Thibodeau was how close the trio have been for years.
Wesley’s criticism of Thibodeau suggests that the coach and management are not on the same page.
Sources also say Thiobdeau was angry when the Knicks didn’t make any trades at the deadline. Thibodeau believed the Knicks would benefit from a roster upgrade.
The Knicks have made a number of personnel decisions that didn’t align with Thibodeau’s thinking.
