What kind of trades should we expect from the Boston Celtics at the trade deadline?

With the 2022 NBA trade season in full swing with deals already beginning to trickle in (and perhaps some Boston Celtics fans getting a little green with envy watching them go down), it is clear the Celtics need to make some significant moves of their own ahead of the Feb. 10 deadline, which closes at 3 pm ET that day.

But what sort of moves should they make? Blockbuster moves will be difficult to pull off without including one of the team’s two All-Star wings in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum (and would not likely do much to improve the situation) given the team’s depleted trove of trade assets, and moves around the margins might not be enough to do what this team needs.

Are their medium-sized deals that could make sense? Should the team move on from or lean into their veterans? Does it make any sense to try and open up some time to play the team’s younger players given it may well lead to more losses?

The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Lab” recently debated this topic on their most recent episode with guest and Celtics cap guru Ryan Bernardoni (AKA Dangercart).
