Some alarming words for the purple and gold fandom?
Anthony Davis revealed in a recent video clip that he hasn’t made a single basket yet since April 5th.
It was the month where the Los Angeles Lakers officially bowed down for playoff contention this season.
Davis had a rocky 2021-2022 campaign, suffering from MCL sprain and right ankle injury which pushed him to be absent in 42 regular season games. His unavailability was one of the main reasons why L.A. failed to secure a postseason slot for the second time in four years.
But in the 40 contests he played, the star big man chalked up an average of 23.2 points, 9.9 boards, 3.1 assists, 2.3 blocks in 53 percent shooting.
In his introductory press conference earlier this week, new Lakers head coach Darvin Ham stressed out the importance of Anthony Davis’ health in making this upcoming season a fruitful one.
As such, Davis might be taking every single second of his offseason as an opportunity to heal up and be prepared for a potential year of vengeance with Los Angeles.
